20% of Amazon shipments not meeting shipment dates.
I have an Amazon Prime membership. Over the past year I have noticed that more shipments do not meet the delivery date as stated on the final order. About 20% of shipments are later than the 1 or 2 day shipping.
Earlier this summer I did hear about Amazon laying off workers. In 2021-2022 when workers refused to work unless they get higher wages, the company paid them higher wages. IMO Amazon might be getting rid of those high-paid workers as they cost too much. So what have we learned? If a group demands higher wages there will be less jobs in the long run.
I’ve seen this over 35 years as well. Over the past 35 years a typical fast food crew (adjust for different crews on different days of the week) has gone down 60% since 1987. This is a direct result of the minimum wage and other costs going up. Since fast food companies have a hard time reducing the cost of food (they have already maximized cost savings in this area), and personnel is the biggest cost to a business, they have to lay off people. Any more reductions in food costs would result in lower quality and lost customers.
Have you noticed any more problems in your area for Amazon shipping times?
