Big Fedex overcharges are arbitrary
Fedex, a major shipping company in the US, must be having big problems. They keep charging customers 10x the estimate they gave them. Here’s how it works.
They give you an estimate on shipping a pallet for $1000. Then when the pallet gets to, say, Texas, they remeasure and reweigh the pallet, and charge the customer $10,000. Sales reps from Fedex are non-responsive and completely ignore the company and bills cannot get fixed.
This is likely due to a poor sales rep, but poor sales reps exist because of poor managers. Fedex must be having very serious money problems to hire such poor managers. FDX stock price is falling over the past 12 months.
We can’t UPS because they have lost multiple pallets. How exactly do you lose a whole pallet? Does someone put it in their pocket and steal it?
If you have consistent problems with Fedex please leave the details in the comments below. Is this a problem with shipments going to Texas, or other states?
