The real story is e-bikes and motorcycles were banned in 2016 in many cities because they caused massive slowdown of traffic and now China is cracking down on them. People turn to electric wheelchairs in droves because they are exceptions to the law.
Since people will no longer be able to work, they won’t be able to pay their mortgage, or taxes, which will hasten the collapse of the CCP, with the Chinese people right in middle of it all. Several provinces and cities are completely out of money, in some cases city workers haven’t been paid in 9 months. But the people fought hard for communism. What can one do?
