Claude Code source code accidentally released.
Anthropic, the makers of Claude Code, has accidentally released source code on Github. Anthropic public v2.1.88 on March 31, 2026 but with a full debugging file “cli.js.map” and about 500,000 lines of source code. Within hours a Korean programmer has a copy of the source code, and is converting it to Python, and calling it “claw-code”. Reports mention that “within hours” the Python conversion was done, but as a programmer, I doubt he has a releasable product.

Repo from Sigrid Jin in Korea aka “instructkr”. https://github.com/instructkr/claw-code
This Github repo from Sigrid Jin appears to have been forked (copied) many times. It’s not clear how Anthropic lawyers will handle this since it was Anthropic’s fault the source code was released. We’ll see in the coming months what happens with all these forks of the code.
