Example of UK socialized healthcare from their own hospitals.
I’ve been watching some documentaries about A&E in the UK. That’s what they call their Emergency Room, or Emergency Department. While talking to some British people, I learned the socialized healthcare was forced on them, the people never got vote on it.
The average wait time in their A&E is 3-4 hours. So in the documentary I have seen at least 2 people who had uncontrollable bleeding, they would bleed into pools of blood in the waiting room, making a slipping hazard, and every once in a while someone would come over to mop up the mess. No one even offered them a compress bandage, or told them they need to apply more pressure to slow the bleeding. No one.
One guy came in for a splinter, and waited 3 hours to be seen. The doctor politely told him to go home.
Each show showed a section of the night shift. The night shift patients had a lot of drunks that had either gotten into fights, or fallen off their bike and gotten hurt. Several episodes had a person on a motorcycle get in an accident. Normally they break their spine. Sometimes they recover, sometimes they don’t. So you get to see those crotch rockets are pretty dangerous.
Gangs drifted in and out of the A&E trying to kill the person they already stabbed but didn’t yet kill. Security had to be called in. Police and security were at the A&E 24/7.
