The younger generations, mostly under age 40, have the earned reputation of being entitled, short-sighted, and don’t think of the future. If one doesn’t plan for the future, they won’t have one. That doesn’t mean they are all like that, it just means these issues are more common with these generations. Studies and surveys of those people and their bosses support this. Whose fault is it? The parents? The schools? Someone else?

Your broken idea of fairness.
A message to young people: The psychosis of the coddled American mind. The problem isn't that life is unfair -- the problem is your broken idea of fairness. A great explanation of why people fail, especially younger people born after 1990. https://oliveremberton.com/2014/the-problem-isnt-that-life-is-unfair-its-your-broken-idea-of-fairness/
Mass psychosis
Mass Psychosis — How an Entire Population Becomes Mentally Ill. A mass psychosis is "an epidemic of madness" that occurs when a "large portion of society loses touch with reality and descends into delusions." The results are always devastating. 20 minute video:
I am a baby boomer taught by my father and uncles about life. They were all part of WWII. Most were in the Pacific but one was in Patton's Army in Europe. The uncle in Europe was also a photographer who developed film taken at the NAZI death camps. The Army had portable dark rooms to develop film as quickly as possible. In the 1970s I began reading that the Holocaust was fake. I asked one of my uncles about it( He was stations in the Philippines. He told me to ask his brother about it. That's when I learned the Holocaust photos he developed were worst than most of those shown to the public. I also learned an important lesson about propaganda.
I taught my children to be able to think for themselves. But they joined much of the mass psychosis of their generation instead.
