No flu shot = no flu.

About 2016 I stopped getting the flu shot. Now I rarely get the flu. I have 2 other people I trust that also don’t get the flu shot. They grew up lower working class and flu shots were not covered by insurance when they were kids. They haven’t gotten the flu shot for 30 years and never get the flu.
There seems to be a high correlation here, you get the normal flu shot and you end up getting sicker in the winter.
How about you? Do you know anyone who doesn’t get the normal flu shot and just doesn’t get the flu?
Two days ago, I literally said to my science group that we should do a study on this. A matched cohort of old folks. Half get the shot, the others get a nice bundle of good vitamins and minerals purported to boost immunity. Then let's see how they feel each season and how many seasons they last?! A bit like the BBC's "A Child of Our Time", only with old folk!
Never got one, being working class, and from the north of England you would never bother with vaccines after the half a dozen we had as children, left school early 80s. Then they started offering flu shots for the elderly, then during covid they offered it to 50-59yr age bracket for the first time, and my GP practice rang me up, and I said, ‘you’ve never offered it to people in their 50s before unless they were in a high risk group?’ And the receptionist said ‘well it’s because of covid’, to which I replied ‘but the government have been telling us for 6months (autumn 2020) that it’s not the flu, so why?’ And she couldn’t answer coherently ‘beyond to be on the safe side, when can I book you in?’ And I said ‘no thanks’.
I’m suspicious of the flu vaccine in Italy for autumn 2019, which was ‘new’ not grown on eggs, but in some other medium, and by May2020 left to my own devices by employer to work in a covid hotspot, I’d had to do my own research to protect myself, and was already taking a Vitamin protocol (A,C, D, and zinc) recommended by Dr Shiva Ayyadurai before it and he were booted off Twitter.
And I can tell you I have had 1 light cold for a couple of days in 2.5yrs, I don’t even get hayfever in the summertime anymore. Gone. I don’t get ill.
My vaxxed and boosted colleagues and with their combined flu shots, ‘god gave you 2 arms for vaccines’, who called me crazy, and irresponsible, well I’ve colleague boosted and flu shotted, hacking away at home for the 2nd in a couple of months. And they all get ill, I hear ambulances every day multiple times a day on emergency calls, that never used to be that regular.
And they still joke with me that I’m ‘vulnerable’. Lockdowns or injections have melted peoples minds!
