Someone made a post on social media. They said they cannot find any US bills saying “Series 2017” after the year 2017. I went through my own wallet and found twenty bills. None of them were after 2017. They normally have to print paper bills every year because they typically don’t last more than 5-10 years. Paper doesn’t last that long.
What about you? Do you have any US bills printed after 2017?
The Series date is the date the design was adopted, not the date it was printed. The serial number may tell you the print date, if you know which numbers belong to which year, but I don’t know how to get that info. The print date does not appear on our dollar bill currently.
The series date is the year, when the note was printed:

My wife has just shown me a $1 bill, printed in Chicago (G7) in 2021.
