Sperm counts dropping over 80+ years.
Here are some graphs about sperm counts declining over time.

Below graph. Why is this linked to plastic products? Because most plastic products need phthalates (thal-ates) to make it flexible and usable, otherwise the plastic is so brittle it’s useless. BPA is one of the phthalates which has been studied. BPA acts just like estrogen in the body, and has other bad effects on the endocrine system. So some manufacturers simply used a different phthalate to make BPA-free containers, phthalates which are unstudied, with no idea if it’s safe or not.

So where are the studies? There are 1500+ studies that match terms [sperm count] here.
There are a number of possible causes. Estrogenic compounds, found in plastics (phthalates) and in soy, could be causes. Estrogenic compounds in soy are in small amounts, and might be helpful for women, except if they have estrogen-sensitive breast cancer. (I talked to a person with breast cancer and one reason they had to get a biopsy was to see if it was estrogen sensitive. It wasn’t, but they advised her not to eat soy in any form anyway.)
