Amazon is selling many bootleg / scammy products, and they know it. One I bought, by mistake, not long ago, were 3M respirator filters ( with printed 3M logos! ). Turns out they were not the real thing, and didn't protect my lungs, causing me to get a strong whiff of something that should have been blocked. I wrote a scathing review to complain about this bootleg product, and the seller's misleading listing, but Amazon refused to publish my review. They are complicit. Although Amazon has the resources to make the wide majority of these scams go away, they pretend that they can't, because they don't care, and would rather maximize their profits at any cost, including your health.

China is the counterfeit capital of the world. Watch out for odd brand names that look like random letters or nonsense words on Amazon, Ebay and other places. Anker is generally a good brand of chargers and cables and I've tested them, the tests match their claims. Xaomi, a major Chinese brand, is a terrible brand despite their marketing hype. Avoid them at all costs.

Of course, they can, but what kind?
